Prayer Blanket BAckground
In 2003 First Presbyterian Church began its Prayer Blanket Ministry. Ed and Judy Adams were instrumental in its inception. The blanket is a reminder of God’s presence for those who are going through any kind of medical treatment or illness, recuperating from an auto accident, going through cancer treatments, or just difficult times. We’ve now presented over 976 Prayer Blankets to share the love of Christ.

About The Prayer Blanket Ministry
Our own Marlynn Story uses her skills on the sewing machine to embroider each blanket for the recipient. Once the blanket is made, and a card is pinned to it with the name of the recipient and a special bible verse selected by the requestee, the goal is to have at least 100 people touch and pray over it before it is given.
